10 – Defend Your Friend 5K Run/Fun Walk

Capital Area Humane Society is holding their second annual run/walk at Homestead Park in Hilliard to benefit animal cruelty investigations & their second chance program. Register in advance or on the event day. Registration is at 6 p.m. Race starts at 7 p.m.

11 – Dogs on the Deck

Visit the Lodge Bar, 165 Vine St, Columbus , from 6 to 9 p.m. All dogs & their people are invited for food & drink specials, a 50/50 raffle, and door prizes! Proceeds benefit the Ohio Pug Rescue.

12 – Animal Outreach Summer Dogwash

Animal Outreach is once again ready to “clean up” at their summer dogwash fundraisers! Stop by Starbucks, 1315 Lane Ave. in Columbus between Noon and 4 p.m. Dog washes are only a $10 donation, nail trims are $5. All proceeds benefit Animal Outreach programs.

20 – Oberlin Doggie Doo

The purpose of the Doggie Doo is to raise funds for local animal shelters, increase awareness of the plight of homeless dogs, and get people interested in adopting one of the many dogs available. Many dog rescue groups and local animal shelters will be on site with adoptable dogs for people to see, and hopefully, adopt! All events are held, rain or shine, on Tappan Square in Oberlin, Ohio.
